Millares Room

Standing collection in Cuenca

It is the place in the world where the largest part of the work by the artist from the Canary Isles can be viewed on a permanent basis. A unique space that has become one of the Foundation’s most famous and renowned rooms.

This space was officially opened on 16 November 2001, thanks to Elvireta Escobio and Eva and Coro Millares, who deposited a total of 20 works on hessian and two sculptural objects at the Foundation thanks to the great friendship between them and Antonio. Moreover, the room features several display cabinets exhibiting the correspondence between Antonio Pérez and Manolo Millares.
